Leif Johansen has earned a reputation on many fronts. His ability to play many different instruments along with his knowledge and expertise in the studio has made Leif a valuable asset in many different productions and bands.

Leif studied classical and jazz music at North Texas State University. After a year of school Leif moved to Detroit started working professionally with Michael Henderson (Bassist with Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and the first electric bassist with Miles Davis) amongst other Motown artists for a short period of time before receiving a full scholarship to the University of Miami. After several years playing in the top ensembles Miami Leif relocated to Norway. Leif shortly thereafter joined A-HA on several world tours and recordings as both Bassist and Keyboard programmer.

From there Leif went on as a freelance musician/producer based in London. After years of working with many established artists and producers Leif established 21 Guns along with Scott Gorham of Thin Lizzy fame and signed a record deal with RCA in New York. This marked the beginning of his career as a song writer. Leif also became a member of Far Corporation along with Scott Gorham, Bobby Kimbal, Simon McCauley and Simon Phillips amongst others....

Leif is now situated in Oslo Norway where he owns Stable Studios along with Jojje (Georg) Wadenius. Jojje is a legendary guitarist who has worked with Blood, Sweat and Tears, Luther Vandross, Simon and Garfunkel and Steely Dan to name but a few.
